TopStep rules, verified

Every number below was read from TopStep's own site or help center on the date above — no hearsay, no stale YouTube reviews. Fields we couldn't verify from an official page are shown as unverified rather than guessed, because a wrong drawdown number is worse than a missing one.

Copy trading: Allowed between your own accounts via the built-in TopstepX copier (up to 5 funded accounts). No VPS or remote access, no cross-account hedging, no coordinated trading with others.

Trading Combine

Consistency: best day ≤ 50% of profitMin 2 trading days

Payouts: 90/10 split, $125 minimum. XFA Standard path: 5 winning days of $150+ AND positive net since the last payout, then up to 50% of balance per request, capped by size ($2,000/$3,000/$5,000). XFA Consistency path: 3 trading days with best day ≤40% of net profit, higher caps ($3,000/$4,000/$6,000). Live Funded: 5 winning days per cycle, 50% of balance with no dollar cap; 30 LFA winning days unlock daily payouts.

Monthly fees shown are the standard path; a no-activation-fee path costs more per month ($95/$149/$229) and drops the $149 XFA activation. Reset costs one month. TopstepX is the only platform — external platforms were retired. Payout caps were CUT on 2026-04-28 for new accounts (older accounts keep their original caps — the table reflects post-cut accounts); traders funded before 2026-01-12 keep 100% of their first $10K lifetime, newer traders are 90/10 from the first dollar.

Why "drawdown behavior" gets its own column

When a trailing threshold updates (end-of-day vs live with your peak) and when it's enforcedare different axes — several firms move the line once a day but still fail the account the moment you touch it intraday. A single "trailing drawdown" label can't express that, and it's exactly the distinction that decides whether you can hold through a pullback.
