Firms and platforms

Which platform is my firm on, and what does connecting cost?

A prop-firm account is really an account at a trading platform. The platform decides how you connect and whether it costs you anything.

The rule of thumb

Your firm issues the account; a platform runs it. Firmtrack connects to the platform, so the same firm can be free or paid to connect depending on which platform you picked at checkout.

  • TopstepX (Topstep only): username plus an API key. Topstep charges $29 per month for API access, $14.50 with code topstep.
  • Tradovate (Apex, Tradeify, Lucid, MyFundedFutures, TakeProfitTrader, FundedNext, BluSky, E8 and more): sign in on Tradovate's page. Free. Pending Firmtrack's partner approval.
  • Rithmic (Apex, MyFundedFutures, Tradeify, Lucid, Alpha Futures, Bulenox, TakeProfitTrader, Earn2Trade, OneUp, Elite and more): your firm-issued login and system name. Free. Firmtrack's conformance review is in progress.
  • NinjaTrader: a NinjaTrader prop account is a Tradovate or Rithmic account seen through NinjaTrader, so it connects through one of those two.
  • TradingView, Quantower, ATAS, Sierra Chart, Volumetrica: front-ends. The connection is whatever broker login sits underneath.

Why this is the same everywhere

Every third-party tool that reads a prop account faces the same platform rules, because the platform sets them. The firm lists above follow the platform options those firms publish and the connection guides of other tools that name them (sources below); a firm can add or drop a platform at any time, so check your own dashboard.
